Meet the Head Coach
At the Pro Soccer Player ID Event, your teenager will be assessed by a highly qualified UEFA licensed coach. They’ll receive a detailed evaluation of their performance, including insights into how they measure up to European academy standards.
Following the event, Ian McClurg, a UEFA A licensed coach with over 20 years of experience, will personally follow up with players and parents. During these calls, Ian will provide personalized guidance on potential pathways to trials and training opportunities with professional clubs across Europe.

Why train with a UEFA A licensed coach?Training with a UEFA A licensed coach means learning from someone with top-level credentials and a proven track record in preparing players for professional opportunities in Europe. What is the difference between technical and tactical soccer training?Technical soccer training focuses on individual skills like dribbling, passing, shooting, and ball control, aiming to improve a player's ability to handle the ball effectively. Tactical soccer training emphasizes the strategic aspects of the game, such as positioning, game awareness, team strategies, and communication, helping players understand and execute game plans and make better decisions on the field. Together with physical conditioning and mental toughness, both types of training develop well-rounded players who can excel in all aspects of the game.
-
What should players bring to the training sessions?Players should bring their soccer gear, including cleats, shin guards, a water bottle, and a positive attitude. Specific instructions may be provided prior to each session.
